The Cultural Club:

Objectives:

  1. To identify, promote & channel the talents & energies of the student teachers
  2. To develop a sense of appreciation for the Cultural Heritage of India amongst the student teachers
  3. To sensitise the student teachers towards the Cultural Lags, Threats and Dilemmas
  4. To develop aesthetic sense amongst the student teachers
  5. To spread the message of CCRT (Centre for Cultural Resources & Training), New Delhi

Rules to become Member of the Cultural Club:

  1. Membership is Voluntary
  2. Active participation is desirable

Note: Certificates will be awarded for active participation in the activities of the Cultural Club.

Activities of the Cultural Club:

  1. Encouraging the utilization of the Cultural Kit gifted by CCRT, New Delhi
  2. Talent Search Programme and subsequent platform for performances by student teachers
  3. Celebrations of various College, Religious, National and International Festivals and Days
  4. Socials - Diwali get – together, Community Lunch etc.
  5. Organization and participation in Morning Assembly, National Songs & Competitions in Arts
  6. Cultural Panorama (Bulletin Board – News & Views)
  7. Cultural Kaleidoscope (Art & Cultural Magazine / Newsletter, Photo Album, Video Recordings)
  8. Educational Visits to Cultural Centres, Artistic Performances & Exhibitions
  9. Organizations of Lecture-Demonstrations, Seminars and Workshops on Arts & Culture
  10. Projects on arts, crafts, environment, culture, heritage & aesthetics / beautification

Recent activities:

The B. Ed students are assigned a project based on regional Presentations under the cultural education programme of the cultural club. In this the students prepare a state wise cultural cum educational presentations covering comprehensive details of the state like-History, Geography, Bio-diversity lifestyle, Education, Economy, Tourism, Festivals, Personalities, Cuisine, handicraft, Music & Dance etc. in form of performances, power point presentations and exhibitions. The special feature of this presentation is the use of the Cultural Kit gifted by the CCRT, New Delhi, to make the cultural presentation vivid and lucid.
