Diploma in Teacher Education:

The pre service teacher education prepares a common person to be a professional in the teaching field. Keeping this view, The Bombay Teachers’ Training College, managed by Hyderabad(Sind) National College Board, has started two year Diploma in Teacher Education (D.Ed) in October 2005. The teachers prepared by this course will be moulding the personalities of school children.

This course includes both theoretical and practical parts. Near about fifty percent weightage is given to practical work, planning of practical work in subjects and planning of annual lesson examination.

In first year D.Ed course the basic subjects are :

Theory:

  • Indian Society and Primary Education
  • Psychology of Learning and Teaching
  • Educational Evaluation
  • Educational Management

    School Subjects Content – cum- methodology

  • English First Language
  • Hindi Second Language
  • Mathematics
  • Work Education

    Practical Work:

  • Practice lessons
  • Social Service
  • Arts
  • Music
  • Physical Education



In second year D.Ed. course the basic subjects are:

Theory:

  • Primary Education
  • Information Communication Technology
  • Action Research and Innovations
  • Marathi Third Language
  • Science and Technology
  • Environment/Social Study
  • Health _Individual/School
  • Arts
  • Music
  • Physical Education

    Practical Work:

  • Practical Lessons
  • School Experience Programme

After completing the course in the D.Ed. College, the student-teacher has to do satisfactory Internship for six months in a Government recognised school, informal education centre of adult education centre under the supervision of recognized teachers. Then only passing certificate is given.
